About
Optimist is an independent fan tracker for Tesla's Optimus and the humanoid robots competing with it. Not affiliated with Tesla, Inc. or any robot maker.
How it works
Every 15 minutes
A small server function reads public RSS and Atom feeds published for exactly this kind of reuse: Google News searches, Electrek, Teslarati, Not a Tesla App, The Robot Report, IEEE Spectrum, Humanoids Daily, Reddit's search feeds and the official YouTube channels of each maker. Results are deduplicated, tagged by robot, and cached at the edge for 15 minutes. If a source is down, the rest carry on, and a snapshot from the last deploy fills any gap.
What we show
A headline, its publisher, the date and at most two sentences, always linking to the original. Videos play from YouTube. Posts from X are shown from a snapshot of the official accounts, with a link to each original. We never republish articles.
How we label
Official means the maker published it. News is reporting. Rumour is anything worded as a report, leak or speculation, and it always carries an Unconfirmed label. Posts come from X and Reddit; X posts from accounts other than the makers are marked Community. The labels are automatic, so judge each one by its source.
Pictures and footage
Photos and video of Optimus are Tesla's own, taken from tesla.com, Tesla's YouTube channel and the official @Tesla_Optimus account on X, and credited under each one. Competitor media comes from each maker's official channels. This is a fan site; it is not endorsed by Tesla or any maker.
